Summer Infant is conducting a voluntary recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) involving the SwaddleMe By Your Bed Sleeper, an inclined sleep product. Infant fatalities have been reported with other manufactures' inclined sleep products after infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side, or under other circumstances. There have been no reported fatalities with our product.

Consumers should immediately stop using the By Your Bed Sleeper.

For consumers currently using this product, Summer Infant is offering the following remedies:

1. Consumers who purchased a By Your Bed Sleeper between January 29, 2019 and January 29, 2020 shall receive a full cash refund in the amount of $99.00 by check within 30 days of submission of the request, proof of dated purchase and evidence of destruction as described below.
2. Consumers who purchased a By Your Bed Sleeper prior to January 31, 2019 shall receive a voucher in the amount of $99.00, good toward the purchase of products available at www.summerinfant.com, within 30 days of submission of the request, proof of purchase and evidence of destruction as described below.

IMPORTANT:

In order to receive your refund or voucher, you MUST provide proof of purchase (which must also establish date of purchase) and proof that the product has been rendered unusable per the destruction requirements provided below. Examples of proof of purchase include: a purchase receipt, charge receipt, online shipment notification, registration card, or gift registry order receipt.

Destruction requirements: Consumers have two options to demonstrate that the product has been rendered unusable:

1. take at least two photos as shown in the example photos below, and email them to sleeper@summerinfant.com, including your full name and address (please use the email address used to register for your replacement); or
2. have a return kit mailed to you with instructions and a prepaid envelope for returning evidence of destruction.

When you register for the recall, you will select one of these options. Once Summer Infant has received your acceptable photos or the mail-in return, the company will send your refund or voucher within 30 days.

Destruction Requirements:
Consumers shall provide proof of destruction as follows:

1. Have a sharp pair of scissors ready;
2. Starting 1" from the frame, cut ALL the way around the mesh sides to remove the bassinet portion as shown in the photo below;
